The newer stuff will not last as long. Under 2000 hours, a 2014 tractor. 2 what I consider major emissions failures. First $10k under warranty, he sold it. 500 hours later but over $2000. Plus a related $200 2 years ago. In every case computer put down tractor to point it could not even be driven to dealership. Barely got home, much less unhooked. My 2090 case. Electronics fail. I can still drive it. Older models I can pull start even if no battery.
New stuff if everything not perfect. It’s a paperweight.
My outback autosteer. Screen went dark. I know of one 3rd party repairing them in 5 states. *they did a decent job at what seems a fair price *. Hopefully they keep getting enough business if I need them again they are around.

Related. I got my mom’s washer. Late 80s. It finally went a decade ago. Found an old guy who works on them. I dropped it off one night. He calls me noon next day. “$150, or if you think it’s not worth it I will dispose of it”. I thought very fair. He told me he has buyers lined up for older basic machines. Mine with suds saver worth more. Plus decade later still doing good job. Most have gone thru 3 machines in that time. Dryer needs rebuild. I hope he is still alive, working.
