As has been said, getting the parts and expertise to fix some things will be an issue. Not to start a brand war but staying with John Deere machinery is very helpful in sourcing parts. Be it new, used or aftermarket. There’s a reason that low houred John Deere machinery holds its value so well. I wouldn’t be afraid of moving up into a 7810 or 8000-8010 series. I own a 4450,7410 and 8100. 4450 had a head gasket leak due to a broken head bolt last winter. Has been a great tractor for me and had no hesitation to spend the money on it, including checking over head and lower bearings. 7410 is realitily new to me and has some gremlins but will get it all fixed. 4240 is more reliable than it. 8100 was bought with 9000 hours on it and a recent engine overhaul done right. This tractor has been very reliable and fun to run. You’ve got to make up your own mind. Everything you have now is probably an improvement over where you started. Just my opinion.
