On the electronics/electrical, this is where it would be good if the manufacturers released (either voluntarily or a regulation to do so) their schematics and programming for "obsolete" equipment. That way, 3rd parties could create/replicate/repair boards and controllers in low quantities as needed; or at least have the opportunity to do so.


The problem is the components are starting to be hard to find. LCD screens and displays from 1995 are no longer made now, and people can't fix them.

That's the kind of stuff I'm seeing
