Being scared of your own shadow would seem more problematic than buying one of the arguably best era of JD tractors. You should have bought one or a fleet 10 years ago. They were cheaper with less hours. I spent 1000's of hours on a 4430. I can't even imagine sitting in one for more than a little hay raking today. Good machinery that gets things done and is easier on you opens doors for all kinds of opportunities.
