You know, I think you'll be fine. It'll winter out some, but I think I'd drill it at maybe a little angle, then roll it. If it were me, I'd solid seed it. Get a nice canopy over it early and I'll bet that residue won't give you a lick of trouble.

You're sowing beans, not building a piano and if the legend of John deere drills is true, they'll all get sown to the same depth regardless and that's what matters most. Don't sweat it!
