My dad hated disks.   Even after he went to sunflowers he wouldn't buy one to work the stalks down and some years it was miserable with the plow or the chisel plow.   When I was on my own I bought a small disk, better than nothing.   He always complained about how disks were always in need of work.   I finally bought a 3900 CIH just for the low spots since I went to no till.  Figured dad was rolling over in his grave when I bought that disk.
