Could also be a dealer inventory issue.
FIL has a 2023 Jeep. Was visiting from Colorado last winter and the transfer case went out with 30k miles. Local Jeep dealer said it'd be a month before they got one. He called his dealer in Colorado Springs. They said "oh yeah, we do a couple a day, we'll ship them one" and in less than a week he was on the road.
Just in the past week here I've read of equipment dealers holding (hoarding?) parts for their customers rather than sell them through another dealer.

Yup, my dealer said that there are 10 fans available at dealers across the country, but not one of them would transfer it to him. |
