Subject: RE: Tassel

Not a great pic to see the tassels as I'm at the bottom of a waterway, and not quite full tassel, but very similar to the stage my corn was in last year on the same date, with tomorrow being the 1 year anniversary of the derecho that hit hard here in WC Illinois (Hancock Co.). Last year we were so dry we were losing brown leaves out of multiple tree species by mid June any time the wind blew.
This June has been dry also, not to quite the same degree as last year but close, but that helps lower any corn leaf disease pressure so far to minimal levels. We really haven't had any morning dews for a few weeks now, but we're not hurting yet, and feel bad for all the flooding and other issues going on across so many parts of the Country.
This corn was planted green 4-13-24 into knee high c. rye with the rye being sprayed 4-15 before it rained on 4-16.
Have 5 corn varieties in this field ranging from 108-116 day.
