Thanks for your replies, as of now I'm just looking to keep 15 in corn and 10in cotton alive, not just to bump yield's 10%. LOL We are in a sad situation here in NC.


How does the land lay? Any way to furrow water it? A few rolls of polypipe is cheap and you throw it away at the end of the year. I assume your crops are on bedded ground or are they planted flat? If flat you'll need to run a center furrower through the middles.

Polypipe is quick and cheap if it'll work. Won't have a pivot to tear down and move in a year or a few years if you lose the land. With polypipe you can relift water out of a ditch or pond, it doesn't need to be perfectly clean water unlike a pivot. You'll need a well or a riverscreen to clean up the water for a pivot.
