| It really can be a double edged sword. On a year like this, in MN and parts of Iowa. There are plenty of fields that don't even have a post herbicide on them yet. The corn is growing but the fields are wet. Makes me really wonder when you'd have time to sidedress on a year like this. I've seen planes flying on urea, but I'm not a big fan of that in season. If it were me, I'd have fall N on my ground, then have the capability to put some on with the planter. Depending on the winter.... more or less N. Then if it's shaping out to be a cream puff year that's when I can make sense out of an additional custom/co-op Y-Drop for extra N. If it's a dud year like we are in now, then at least I'm not feeding it extra coal. | |
