Fargo ND | Good point, easy to make the call on a year like this, my one field truly is looking to be a train wreck but most years won’t be so cut and dry. In my case with uneven stand and potholes it’s a clear cut loss already so no sidedress for me.
Neighbors had a good stand and even emergence but obviously saw some yellowing so lots of N got top dressed and side dressed before this last rain and looks very nice.
I’d say at this point if you have a decent looking stand this crop is going to need all the help it can get, I don’t know if I’d be spending the money to put extra down.
At the very least it should green up and make you feel better when you drive by. | |
