2014 we planted beans in drown out corn acres on July 3
Looked really good, think they would have had a shot at 50 bpa. Had an early frost that year that really hurt them and they ended up being around 30 bpa of immature Lima beans that took forever to dry down.
Flooding happened about a week later this year, gonna take a miracle to be dry enough to plant those same acres by next Wednesday. Not sure what we’ll do with those acres.
What’s the latest you’ve planted beans that it worked out?
