Nightshade is poisonous - I just don’t remember how specific species (sheep, goats, cattle, horses) fare when they eat it.

Regardless, I’d cut that silage HIGH so you will leave maybe an EXTRA 8-12inches of the stalK out in the field to minimize berries in feed.

My guess is you don’t want any nightshade in your silage pile if dairy cows are what you are feeding…….
