Northeast Indiana | A good applicator and machine with all wheel steering doesn't knock down/run over enough of the crop to make a difference. Now if they insist on running auto steer no matter how well its tracking, are in a hurry to get acres covered, and don't care about precisely turning, they can negate a couple bushels or so, but they shouldn't have to. I know all of the drone and plane guys will come in and say rotor/wing wash, but I've seen both applying with a setting sun behind them, and there is tons of spray mist moving up into the air and off into the breeze. | |
