Problems with ridge till on flat wet fields include that the ridge scraping takes all the dry warm dirt off the top of the ridge in the spring, meaning you now have to start over on warming up the soil.

Also end rows have to be no-tilled or conventionally tilled so you need more equipment or equipment adjustments.

Tracked train carts don’t work.

Appears that 40’ equipment would be the reasonably max size (3pt style) but maybe someone has adapted to using 24 row or bigger.   I did see a 24-30 organic C-shank cultivator on YouTube the other day on a 120” JD 8RX track machine

Tech seems like it would otherwise make ridge till easier.  Hydraulic steering, chemical weed control, camera steering, orthman tracker steering, individual row unit lifts for point rows, drones, big MFWD and tracked tractors.  and row crop 4wd.  Increasing numbers of acres being side dressed around here each year, it’s a similar pass.  Stalk pullers, shattering the stalks during cold winter times, chopping corn heads possibly help, although making a mat of corn stalks in the row middles doesn’t get them dried out fast in the spring.
