SENE | We have it confirmed in our county which is richardson farthest south east county in nebraska. So far the advice is wait and see. The university is thinking that we had it this early last year but no one was looking this early and after the huge flush at tassel last year now everyone is looking. I also read that from the time of infection and incubation could be much long than 2 weeks as originally thought. With tar spot there are a lot of what ifs. In 5 years there will be a lot more known about it but for now it's a shot in the dark. I do know if it is present you better spray at tassel for sure because those who didn't last year regretted it! | |
