Sioux Falls, SD
I am guessing we are are in the same line the storms keep training on. I am convinced Sioux Falls has an effect on these systems. Intensifies when we are in a wet cycle and kills them or pushes north, where the cooler air is, when we are in a dry cycle.

2018 wet wet well drained was fantastic, heavier ground hovered around 100
2019 wet but better than 18, sub aph -15
2020, drowned out then dried out sub aph
2021 was fantastic until the end of Aug, 10" of rain and hail and 90+ mph winds
2022 two back to back 3+ heavy rains end of may then dried out
2023 dry

2021 is the only one at or above aph for corn in the ones listed. Could have been great but a storm got us.

In theory aph should he easier to get to, because it is getting lower but i have my doubts.

2023 was the only one that triggered a crop insurance payment, being enterprise units, the rest were shallow losses.
