Where are you located ?  It doesn't really matter, it takes around 120 days to full maturity and
then comes drydown.



That's been my experience in northern IL. Late April planting comes off around September 1, double crop planted early July comes off early November.

One other thing. Sunflower is what plant breeders use to make sure that there's enough white mold pressure in their scoring plots.
