NCKS | Im just saying not much you can do why worry about it? But I'm not sure what yields you guys are shooting for in the southern I states. Not poo-pooing your plight just trying to make you feel better... Here, shooting for 160bu on river bottom, anything 95 degrees i dont worry about it at all. Over 98 things start shutting down and youre losing yield. Over 105 for a few days without good moisture at roots, things turn white. Corn doesn't die from 90 degree weather, you guys have more staying power than you think. If we get average rain and keep below 10 days over 100 and 0 over 105, we grow good for us corn. | |
