I had another guy come out a dig some up with me he said its compaction there are places where it is not consistant with a wheel track am wondering if there wasnt a few wet streaks at planting time that where small and didnt notice this is our first year 100% strip till planted into fall strips without a freshener pass maybe need to look into a freshener pass
was striptill a shank or coulter unit? Fall strips in good conditions will alleviate compaction to the depth of the shank, leaving almost a potting soil environment. Coulter unit not nearly as much.
