Subject: RE: Central Air Question

NW ILLINOIS
Real simple test.
On a hot day after the system has been running for
1/2 hr or so, go look at the bigger of the
two AC lines that are exposed coming from the furnace.
Is it sweating. If so freon is adequate.
Next check your filter, then the coil for lint / dust (air flow).
Check you belt drive on the fan if it's that old.
Next go outside and check that the condenser fan is running
full speed and freely.
Next check you condenser coils to see that they are clean
and free of debris.
