SE SD | Depending on location and site, dormant seeding can work well. I still recommend early spring seeding 1st if site is to wet then dormant seeding would be second. Takes 2-3 years to get native grasses started and established. If seeded early and proper rain can get them going good the first year. Need to keep weeds mowed so they dont complete for light and moisture. Not much you can spray on them the first year. need to get 4 leaves before you can spray 2-4d or milestone on it. | |
