| I agree with what husker says on the depth. Make sure you pull your samples when the plant is actively growing and avoid doing it in the heat of the day. I used to do weekly sampling but now try to pull samples at key stages. I would avoid sampling after a rain and try not to sample when the crop is overly stressed which is hard to do with this current heat wave. Sampling in the early morning would be best. I would also find someone that knows how to read a tissue test. Don’t pay attention much to what the lab says is good and bad. They base that off of samples that they receive. The balance of the nutrients on the report is key. | |
