Subject: Disk Chisel

Looking at different ways to work up corn stalks in the fall. We have a lot of slope and can wash bad. Have a Degelman Protill that does a nice job but makes our ground wash too bad when we put it in deeper. Looking at putting narrow 3/4” points on a disk chisel and going in about 5-7”. Thinking this will minimize amount of soil that’s disturbed yet still warm our soil in the spring so we can plant the corn stalks earlier. Will hit in spring with vertical tillage to make a nice seed bed.
