How much nutrient loss is there by burning straw off? Do the ashes still contain some? Is it more available if its burnt? Excellent wheat this year, but lots of straw, too much to bale, no market. I'd think a better stand with a lower population would be worth something. Thanks
IMO you're wasting your time. Cut as high as possible and plant at angle to wheat rows. Our best doubles every year are where the straw is cut the highest & not everything baled off and gone.
