We had a similar situation a few years ago where our agronomist felt we weren't putting enough N on so we top dressed a heavier rate of urea and ams on 50 acres in the middle of a field. The corn canibilized itself and fell over, badly. We were unhappy to say the least. Hopefully yours doesn't do that. I don't remember how much we applied, too long ago.
