Thats exactly why I get cold germ tests done on all my hybrids. I have found hybrids that I would have planted early in the spring that were 50%+ poor germ in those conditions. Testing has allowed me to adjust my planting schedule or shuffle hybrids around. It sure has given me peace of mind.
I agree though that seed companies should provide that information. They probably have it anyway since they will recall some hybrids for quality concerns after being shipped out. | |
