We try to roll every acre. But we're mostly putting worked hay ground into beans so some clumps of sod etc, it smooths it all out, combine takes in far less dirt. And on the rocky ground I'd hate to combine without rolling.
Not so much for a yield bump, but to save wear on the combine from dirt, and if a Rock goes in it pays for a lot of rolling
