I don’t know your location but since you’re in an area that grows wheat and milo I presume moisture is a limiting factor. If that is a valid assessment, planting beans into growing CRP has a reasonable chance of being a complete train wreck. Even with adequate moisture it is tough to grow beans in growing grasses. Converting CRP requires some advanced planning if you need to notill. The only way I have been successful planting beans into CRP late is with aggressive tillage.
