Bur cucumber has been in western Iowa for years.
I can remember it wrapping up in Grandpa's 33 Allis picker.
He had had it a while back then. That would have been mid 60's.
It is hard to control as it comes out of the ditches here.
I had it grow across a fairly wide drive and cover 2 rain bins a few years ago.
If it is humid, it doesn't need to touch the soil.
Dad has pretty much knocked it in that creek now. If he wants something to do he sprays the ditch with 24d and crossbow or similar product.
