Remove half the siding from the chicken barns and fill them with round bales. Rebate into small squares on your time schedule. Plenty of youtubers to learn from.


The chicken barns are leased, and the landlord wants them to remain intact, so no modifications can be made.

Rebaling rounds is where the idea started last summer. A good roll baler and a crew that's worth their salt, can clean off 60 acres a day with our little 8 and ten acre fields in this part of the world.

But then I circle back to my original post: The twine or net, the fuel to bale the rounds, then haul the bales in and stack them, then unstack, unroll or shred and rebale... wouldn't a person be better to gather loose hay, pile it, and bale it? It's a "lottery money" kind of idea, because the forage wagon is a sunk cost and feeding loose hay into a baler is dusty and slow, but I still think there is something there.
