Not to throw cold water on your idea but the DNR and NWTF seed programs are excellent ways for seed companies to dump their old and retuned seed. The big seed companies would have to dispose of treated seed as hazardous waste or donate it to hunters and get a tax credit.

Seed companies are smart. They blend varieties and maturity groups so that seed are not used by crop farmers. I’ve planted it for years in small fields trying to keep deer and raccoons out of my crop fields. They eat both.
