SE Nebraska | The problem year occurred 2 years ago because for some reason the corn only got shoulder high at tassel. Never shaded the ground right. Since the farm has had a pivot put up so corn should get plenty tall. Will probably leave it corn for a few years and get the problem under control. I thought I had them all dead last year as I started with 4.5oz fierce xlt and 24 oz lv6 pre. 43oz liberty 32oz enlist 2.5oz anthem Maxx post. And 43oz liberty post 2. Must be a good seed bank. Between rain and wind I didn't get there as soon as I would have liked to this year. Will adjust plans next year to have multiple trips every 14 days giving it another shot. Will put enlist corn so can throw in a different chemistry in the mix on one of the passes. The spot pictured is where I had 2 nozzles get plugged on pre pass right behind tire so didn't get full rate if residual and didn't see it while spraying (why front boom would be nice). Oh the joys of farming. | |
