Kettle Moraine, WI
Years ago it was my primary tillage in cover crops, sod, or weed covered ground. Slow, annual blade replacement not cheap, can make a nice seedbed in wetter conditions, size residue and root balls for easier cultivating, and takes more time than fieldwork windows allow (should've run 2). Tractor PTO issues will be amplified too.

Time window of size I wanted to terminate the cover crop and plant time was the biggest detriment. Now a wide width sweep chisel and turbo till can get similar results much faster. Arguably cheaper operating but higher overhead.
