Subject: Wheat in the desert


Townsend, Montana
Seeded at 10 lbs on the left and 40 lbs on the right. Same drill, same depth, same day. 12" spacing hoe drill. Clearstone winter wheat into fallow. Fertilized for 20 bu based off Ag Vise's soil sample recommendation.

40# is burnt up and heading out

10# is taller, no visible heads, and minimal drought stress

That's 480k and 160k seeds per acre. Glad I didn't shoot for the recommended 1.2 million.
