If anything, rolling will make the surface hard or seal it and the rain will have a harder time getting to the seeds

Last year the beans we rolled immediately after planting came up and several neighbor’s didn’t until it rained weeks later.

Immediate yes you have a chance. I was thinking this sounded like at least a few days or more
