Its always going to depend on weather during the growing season! Here in MN last year there was wide-spread replant (plant in the bad spots) and it turned out that the replant areas were nearly as good as the original planting. I replanted a big section of a flooded field mid-june last year.....insurance told me that I needed to replant it. I had low expectations but, it ended up 220+ bu.
I've replanted corn in mid-june other years with poor success.

Your agronomy people probably have some tools to help you make the decision.
