Planted all but last 9 acres April 29 and it was May 22 before we were able to mud those last 9 in. Corn was over half knee high and anything needing replanting was too wet and has been since. First year dad can remember replant that was needed that won't get done. Have a 30' 1790 that has just planted small spots of corn and replant corn since we bought a 60' 1770 and 40' 1790 and it will go from 100 acres in the last two years to possibly none this year. We have no wheat this year so normally we'd have been finished planting everything once 1-2 weeks ago and we lack a good week finishing now if everything dries up. But, if it stays this way we stand to make more money than in a drought year. |
