NW Iowa | In the area between DesMoines and Sioux Falls that I have traveled in the past week there are very few earlier planted fields that have a picket fence stand. Lots and lots of corn did not come up. Some beans are planted. One field a mile north of where I live was planted very early in April and the part of it that is not drowned out looks great. My corn a mile away that was planted the third week in April had overall. I am not expecting top yields for a large portion of the crops in central and western Iowa. I have not traveled western Iowa to see what it looks like there. | |
