Dual can be used. If direct seeding cover cover a square foot area over your seeds before spraying. Pull the label up and study. I use asphalt roof shingles cut to the right size. I don't know how big a patch your talking about or other crops that are close or be in rotation but you can check the Sandra label. Be careful with rates used.
