Subject: RE: Drying wheat

NDSU has some good info on air drying wheat.  The rule of thumb here is 1HP per 1000 bushels, and keep grain depth less than 20'.  Your humidity is significantly higher in IN, so what works in ND may not work in IN.  Some of my bins have temp/humidity fan controls and when August is hot and dry in SWND, the fans will only run at night because if the fans run during the day the wheat will over dry.
