South Eastern VA | I’ve been using cover crops for the last 30 years and never had army worms. The only time I had slug damage was the year we got OVER a hundred inches of rain, yeah! OVER A HUNDRED!!! lol
I picked up a new to me field last year and army worms hit it pretty hard. I was also amazed. Luckily for me the field was literally 5 miles from my house so I hauled a$$ and came back ready for battle…very dramatic right? Hahahahaha
Gotta say it made me twitchy as heck and I scouted every square inch of land I farm. | |
