Northern California | It's going to make the algae grow like crazy. If it's more than a little I think I would offer to have a pool service come vacuum it for them before it dissolves. Or you could get the water tested at a lab to see if it needs to be drained and refilled. I'm sure the flying service has insurance that would cover. The important thing is to keep the neighbor happy.
