Edge of RRV MN | Double or Triple rinse like your doing then add 1 gallon of Bleach per 25 gallons of water or 8 gallons to 200 and run agitation for 15-20 minutes. Pressurize and spray out 50 or so gallons and leave booms and tank with bleach water sit overnight. Spray most of the remaining bleach water out the next morning and drain everything else out. Wouldn’t hurt to do another 100 gallons of clean water afterwards. The label states Bleach and does not indicate using ammonia based products.
3 keys to successful clean out
Drain and Clean all screens
Make sure you flush the booms completely with the end caps removed. Clean end caps if their is white residue
Wait until the next day to finalize clean out
It can be done in the same day but spend some time on it and don’t let your bean chemical sit in the booms overnight or for any extended period of time during the day.without flushing them on the edge of field.
Dawn dish soap helps when spraying Hppd’s to make sprayer clean out better as well.
I have never had bleaching on soybeans by doing this method according to the label sure it takes time but seeing bleached soybeans is embarrassing.
