Unless you have lots of gaps several feet long without any plants this isn’t a hard decision at all.   
It was planted on April 26, its May 26 today, leave it alone.  

The fact that it’s a semi flex and in 20” rows just reinforces leaving it alone.    Also I assume the areas with the lower stand counts are interspersed with the good stand counts so it would be hard to tear up just the thin spots.
