What is the easiest way to count pop on 20" beans?

I would measure the row 13' and 1/2" count those beans and double your number to get population of 1,000 per acre. Most times on 30" rows I only measure 8' and 8 1/2" than double it. Maybe because I don't want to count more than 100 beans
