The label says not to cultivate 5 days prior and 7 days after an application. I'm wondering why?

Basagran is a contact herbicide. As such it needs good coverage. High water volumes are a plus. If the weeds are dirty or dusty the chemical will not work as well. Not sure why the 7 day after application though. Only comment about dust in the label I have is to minimize it and to not use cultivation equipment for banding. Any thing that will happen in terms of weed uptake likely has happened in 24 hours. Not a translocated herbicide like Roundup. Warm weather and an appropriate surfactant/oil are imperative. We use it regularly on edible beans.
