As long as the wind is blowing away from the canola you will be fine. Non-xtend soybeans are super super sensitive to dicamba, almost nothing is more sensitive to dicamba (maybe grapes) than a non xtend soybean. Besides we have cool weather in ND and leaf size is small. Perfect conditions for dicamba not moving. It's the hot humid weather and full vegetation where xtendimax wreaks havoc.
