Tablerock Ranch eastern Wa | Goal would be to strip till and apply a normal ten ton per acre application of composted and screened steer manure. Presently we apply ten tons and disc in right away to secure the most N while getting P&K incorporated. Challenge would be building a spreader that would drop manure over the strip either before first pass? or more probably between to running's of the strip till twice. Questions for you strip tillers would be, how wide would you deposit the composted manure over the strip? and could I go the whole ten-ton app over the strip essentially making it a twenty ton app without risk of a hot fertilizer bed?
