After asking here yesterday I did a search and found this.


We plant them on plastic mulch with drip irrigation. We use a water wheel transplanter and they are set as deep as the plug grow mix and no deeper.

We use millers sol-u-grow fertilizer in the transplant water to stimulate root growth. Always works well for us. We usually set them in the field with 2-4 true leaves. Usually 3-4 weeks old.

Seedless melons are way too pricy to risk direct seeding them. Also need a pollinator or a seeded variety to be the pollinator.
